  1. I think tagging is a bit weird and causes me to reveal more of myself than I would ordinarily like to, but ok in sha Allah it just might take me awhile to get around to this one.

  3. salamu alaikum

this post made me really think about the difficulties you face this year and mashaAllah how you really seemed to come out doing better than before.

It’s hard to start your life over in a new place. a new place with no friends or family. no support system. also, in your case to start with NOTHING! all worldly possessions gone.

i remember when i left new orleans in 2002. it was at the end of september. I remember getting out at a gas station someplace in Illinois. It was so cold. Earlier that morning I left the heat and humidity of my home behind and felt like I was already in another world. Like most southerners, I think the farthest north I had ever been was arkanas and now I was on my way to Minnesota. 2003 was a hard year for me. I dealt with learning to be alone. I was in a strange place with no one while my husband worked extremely long hours. I was pregnant, didnt have a car and I felt stuck. That transitional year was the worst for me.

I wish for you better things in 2007. You got passed your transitional year. Way to go!

  4. Blast! Ya tagged me! Okay, I’ll try to do it today.
